1. Scope and purpose

This policy sets out business activities and uses that CREDIUM DIGITAL LTD. does not accept for its Canadian conversion service. It forms part of the Canada Terms of service. It applies to business eligibility and to the use of the service in connection with the listed activities.

These are Credium's own admission and acceptable-use restrictions. Some listed activities may be lawful in a particular jurisdiction but remain outside Credium's accepted scope. The list is not a statement that every category is prohibited by Canadian law or by FINTRAC.

2. Prohibited activities and categories

Credium does not accept the following activities or categories:

  • Illegal or deceptive commerce.
  • Political fundraising or political action.
  • Abortion-related services.
  • Adult services and adult classifieds; escort services and mail-order bride businesses.
  • Automated teller machine (ATM) businesses.
  • Insolvency, credit repair, debt and payday services.
  • Coin and stamp dealing; precious metal and gemstone dealing or extraction.
  • Counterfeiting and activities infringing intellectual property.
  • Court-ordered payments.
  • Cyberlockers, darknet activities, ransomware, and products or instructions designed to bypass access controls.
  • Direct marketing and contact-list sales.
  • Distribution of unlawful or protected digital content.
  • Drugs, pharmaceuticals, CBD and related paraphernalia, including lawful pharmaceutical businesses; SARMs and peptides; pseudo-remedies; designer, nutraceutical, weight-loss and bodybuilding supplements.
  • Protected wildlife and related products.
  • Spying and jamming devices.
  • Fireworks, explosives, poisonous or hazardous materials.
  • Foreign governments, state-owned entities and diplomatic missions.
  • Unlawful or unlicensed gambling.
  • Groups or materials promoting hate, violence or intolerance.
  • Human remains, body parts and human trafficking.
  • Multi-level marketing, pyramid and Ponzi schemes, and predatory lending or investment schemes.
  • Binary options activities.
  • Nested banking or payment arrangements.
  • Offshore banks and shell companies lacking physical presence or purpose.
  • Auctions and pawnshops.
  • Entities with past or current bearer-share involvement.
  • Shell banks and shell financial institutions.
  • Support for terrorism.
  • Regulated services carried on without the required authorisation or licence.
  • Arms and weapons businesses.
  • Layaway and annuity businesses.
  • Psychic services.

3. Prohibition is different from enhanced review

These exclusions are mandatory and apply in addition to Credium's other legal, sanctions, geographic, AML and service-eligibility restrictions. Enhanced due diligence does not override a prohibition.

A customer or activity that is not prohibited may still require enhanced due diligence, evidence of licensing, source-of-funds checks, additional approvals or rejection under our admission policy. Being outside this list is not an assurance of acceptance. An activity that cannot be classified remains on hold until its classification is resolved.

4. Same-owner use remains mandatory

The service only supports conversions between the same verified customer's own accounts or wallets. It does not support third-party funding or payouts, undisclosed intermediaries, nested services, pooled client-money settlement or settlement for a customer's underlying customers. Any eligible regulated business may use the service only for its own approved account and activity; its licence does not expand Credium's service scope.

5. Customer responsibilities and action on a breach

Provide accurate information about your activities, ownership, the purpose of an order and the source of funds or assets. Notify Credium of material changes. Do not conceal a prohibited activity or use another person or entity to bypass these restrictions.

Credium may request information, decline onboarding, refuse or hold an order, or suspend or close a route or relationship in accordance with applicable law and the Terms of service. A return is made only where lawful and after the required checks, under the published Pricing and execution policy. This policy does not authorise confiscation of funds or override mandatory customer rights.

6. Questions

If you are unsure whether an activity is accepted, contact support@credium.com with the subject “Business eligibility — Canada” before sending funds. See the AML / CTF Statement, Terms of service and Pricing and execution policy for the related conditions.
